During this time of social distancing, we want to take a look back at some of our past exhibits here at Arts Center East, as well as share new virtual exhibits.
Dionysus Theatre Company
Dionysus Theatre Company (DTC) has been a part of the artist community at Arts Center East for several years. Their mission is to inspire the community through artistic expression while working to understand the human condition. They’ve done this through productions of shows like, A View from the Bridge, 9 Parts of Desire, Hamlet, Proof, The Diary of Anne Frank, and Detroit ’67. With lots of hard work and teamwork, DTC never fails to transform the Eureka Gallery into an incredible immersive theatre experience.
The 8th Annual Juried Photography Exhibit
One of our most popular exhibits at Arts Center East is the Annual Juried Photography Exhibit. It attracts varied artists and a wide array of subjects. The 8th Annual Juried Photography Exhibit was the most recent exhibit displayed in the galleries in 2020 – but certainly not the last!
The Arts Center East Elephant, Peanut
Peanut has been a part of the ACE landscape for several years. But how did he get there? Originally titled, Elephant Oracle, the elephant was installed by creator Donna Dodson and a small team. Peanut is a 8x4x4-foot sculpture of styrofoam, cement, and paint.
