Description
This five week class would be beneficial to both acrylic and oil painters, who want to learn more. We will discuss techniques, surfaces, texture, composition as well as products on the market to help you in your painting. You will be painting from your own photos, so bring several to class.

“In my own art journey, color is playing an increasing role in my work, often taking center stage. Certainly, I recognize that is not everyone’s preference, art is a very personal thing! My goal is for you to find your own style, if you have not already. If you have, what can make it even better for you. Play and having fun is essential here, as well as letting go a little bit and seeing what happens.
This class will be geared to beginning to intermediate students, who have had some prior experience with either medium. Beginners are welcome also, with the understanding that you will not put unnecessary pressure upon yourself to be as good as students who have prior experience, having fun here is essential!
I will do some demos, and we will have some discussions on materials, supplies, what are some new things are out there, composition, artists we like/follow, where we hope to go on our journeys…My hope is that you will find this a safe place you look forward to coming to each week, and that you learn a lot from one another. I do not want you to learn to paint like me, I want you to find your own way that speaks to you.”
