ARTIST MEMBER Jane Burr

I have always had a passion for art work and am a self-taught artist. I started painting in oils but soon switched to watercolors, a medium I find exciting, challenging and very spontaneous. I love to see the colors mix on the paper and the intriguing patterns they can create. I have done a lot of florals, but I equally enjoy capturing the natural beauty of a landscape. As a diversion, in the past few years I have tried working with pastels and acrylics. Very vibrant colors can be obtained with these mediums. Most recently, however, I have returned to watercolors and am trying a very “loose” technique with lots of spatters and drips. It’s exciting and fun with lots of unpredictable results.
