ARTIST MEMBER Dawn Tyler

Dawn Tyler began painting several years ago after a career in computer science.  She enjoys working in oils, painting both in plein air and from photo references.  Her paintings include landscapes and animal portraits. Recently she has become interested in portraying people interacting with their pets. Dawn has exhibited her work in numerous shows, including shows at Arts of Tolland, Art Center East, Lyme Art Association, Hartford Fine Art, the Piedmont Art Show, East of the River, Spectrum Gallery and CPAPS members shows. Dawn completed her associates degree in visual fine art at MCC in 2014. In 2017, Dawn was elected president of the Connecticut Plein Air Painters Society, and served as CPAPS President for 4 years. Her studio is in Manchester, CT.

As an artist, her goal is to create paintings with beautiful light and color to capture mother nature at her finest. Rolling hills, farmland and animals, especially horses and cats are her favorite subject matter.
