During this class you will develop confidence with the pastel medium. Topics will include building a strong composition, understanding values, creating light and shadow, and developing cohesive color harmony, to develop a strong painting from start to finish. Various underpainting techniques will be introduced. Reference photos you have taken yourself may be used for subject matter, or you may bring still life materials. All levels of experience are welcome.
